About the Role: Legal Leadership: Lead the APAC legal function, playing a proactive role within the management team. Team Management: Manage a dedicated team of legal associates, fostering collaboration and efficiency. Agreement Expertise: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including Cloud, Sale, and Software licenses. Tender Response: Address legal aspects in tender responses, ensuring strategic alignment. Global Collaboration: Liaise with the global legal team, ensuring compliance with requests and fostering global synergy. Process Enhancement: Contribute to creating, implementing, and reviewing processes/training for the APAC region. Ad Hoc Support: Provide timely ad hoc legal advice, showcasing agility and problem-solving skills. Role Requirements Qualifications: Law Degree or equivalent, with 5+ years PQE and experience leading APAC legal teams. Skills: Ability to work independently under Malaysian laws. Mandarin language skills are advantageous. Knowledge: Essential telecommunications/IT experience, with a plus for financial services sector exposure. Experience: In-house experience is advantageous, along with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal personnel. Competencies: Strong teamwork, problem-solving, customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
