An exciting APAC Associate job has opened up at an American technology and service leader that powers financial markets globally. They help clients anticipate and solve problems, setting the standard with industry expertise, exceptional services and comprehensive technology.

About the APAC Associate Role:
In an organisation with a business that spans 700 cities across 6 continents, this role supports the APAC business with a particular focus to Hong Kong and China markets. In this market leading fintech company, this APAC Associate role plays a diverse and varied in-house role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a variety of agreements such as those related to cloud, sale, installation and maintenance, network services, co-location and carrier, software licenses, lease, confidentiality, distribution and service partner and data processor
• Respond to the legal aspects in tender responses
• Liaise with the global legal team in EMEA and US and attend to requests
• Assist in creating/implementing/reviewing/amending processes and training as and when required
• Provide ad hoc legal advice and assistance

To succeed in this APAC Associate role, you will need to have a strong foundation in legal matters related to technology and have strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Law degree or equivalent with one to four years\' PQE (existing in-house experience preferred)
• IT or telecommunications experience and/or experience dealing with the financial services sector
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage to support the Hong Kong and China markets
• Ability to work independently for matters under the laws of Malaysia and global experience is an advantage
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and able to develop practical solutions to complex problems
