Main Purpose of the Role

Master data is a critical business asset with significant impact on performance and decision-making.
High-quality, well-managed master data enables the company to drive business results, while poorly controlled data leads to inefficiencies and missed opportunities.

This role ensures the delivery of master data management services in line with governance best practices--ensuring data is timely, complete, accurate, and consistent. The Analyst will support global master data processes, contribute to system implementation with ITS, drive continuous improvement, and promote standardization.

Current Scope: Covers master data domains including product, customer, vendor, material, and finance, with potential to expand into other areas.

Key Accountabilities and Business Priorities

1. Master Data Operations and Governance

Perform creation and maintenance of master data records in a timely, accurate manner. Administer workflow tools, manage processes, and execute mass updates as needed. Ensure high data quality and complete validation in compliance with data governance standards. Undertake regular data cleansing to improve and maintain data quality. Maintain accurate and updated SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Support and perform internal control checks to ensure compliance with standards and rules. Provide first-line support for low to medium complexity master data issues.

2. Value Creation and Business Support

Support training and onboarding for internal customers on master data processes. Leverage data, analytics, and insights to support CI (Continuous Improvement) projects and generate quantifiable results. Identify and propose process improvements, standardization, and automation to drive productivity. Assist in root cause analysis of process failures or recurring data issues. Collaborate with ITS and business teams to implement new technologies that improve efficiency and data quality.

3. System Implementation and Testing

Participate in test case execution for new tools or systems, ensuring smooth transitions with no process disruptions.

Solid understanding of master data activities and their impact on business processes. Knowledge of master data governance, quality management, and related policies. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Advanced SAP user experience. Power BI, Macros, and SAP scripting knowledge will be considered an advantage.

Essential Knowledge / Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

No prior experience required. Previous experience in master data management is an added advantage.

Language Skills:

English (B2 or C1 level) Mandarin Chinese (required for regional support)

Pay: Up to RM4,100.00 per month
