Purpose

Coordinates and controls Country Demand Planning and New Product Launch (NPL) Regional forecasting activities required to meet customer needs, business requirements, and service level objectives. In addition, supports, monitors and maintains finished goods inventory levels and system integrity.

Purpose Statement

This role serves as the conduit between Country Demand Planning, Regional Marketing and Global Supply Chain Planning in coordinating the regional Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) process, product launch and exit plans, driving inventory optimisation initiatives, and managing supply execution as required to meet customer needs and business financial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partners with Regional Marketing, Country Demand Planning, Regional Finance and other key functional stakeholders to understand regional strategic imperatives and country dynamics, and drive supply execution across your portfolio, in support of commercial ambitions.

  • Leads regional engagement with Global Supply Chain Planning and the Global SI&OP process, managing inventory to enable the achievement of the Region's strategic and financial goals. This includes driving successful New Product Introduction (NPI) and other product transitions, and advocating for and managing allocations to the Region in periods of supply constraint.
  • Provides leadership to Country Demand Planning, serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the RapidResponse supply chain planning system, and other systems and processes.
  • Leveraging knowledge of country strategy, business models and dynamics, represents and advocates for the Region in Global project teams and other forums.
  • Proactively analyses inventory, sales, scrap and other key metrics, provides recommendations and aligns efforts across stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and process improvement across the Region.
  • Leads and/or supports Regional and Country cross-functional Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) to drive consistent improvements in service, financial outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years' experience in a demand planning and/or supply chain role, demonstrating competence in leading an IBP process.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain and its dependencies, including planning and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyse business processes and workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience managing large data sets essential, either through Excel or other data visualisation and analysis tools.
  • Self-starter, demonstrating ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams across geographies, delivering customer-oriented solutions to complex problems.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and high-quality output.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment.
