SUMMARY OF ROLE

To be responsible to assist APAC Finance Manager in all areas relating to financial reporting, establish and maintain internal controls, procedures, and guidelines for reviewing transactions that comply with US GAAP and Local GAAP accounting, and ensure financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting and year-end audit preparation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibility to maintain primary and secondary ledger with compliance of US and Local GAAP accounting and monthly close.
• Process all accounting entries in general ledger for US and Local GAAP accounting.
• Analyze and review data to determine appropriate balances and activity.
• Monthly close analytics, variance analysis, including ad hoc reports.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations packs and Flux analysis of balance sheet and profit & loss for legal entity review.
• Identify and investigate errors, anomalies or unusual transactions and resolve as appropriate.
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
• Preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly VAT/WHT reporting documents to the relevant authorities as required within stipulated deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and local regional requirements including but not limited to accounting, taxation, audit and secretarial matters. This will include working with external providers on the timely preparation and submission of annual statutory audited accounts, income tax reports, annual returns etc.
• Assisting with financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data during SOX or local audits.
• Ensure compliance to SOX and internal control.
• Prepare the quarterly transfer pricing for the respective entities.
• Prepare and analyze weekly intercompany transaction and settlement for respective entities.
• Prepare weekly cash forecast and analyze variance (actual Vs Forecast).
• Support immediate superior to manage continuously on improvement and simplifications of the process and systems to improve efficiency of quality financial reporting - both internal and external.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

RELATED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accountancy and/or Professional Qualification in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• An analytical mind, multi-task, flexible, deadline-oriented and ability to stick to time constraints.
• Ability to work independently and develop strong working relationships.
• Good communications skills, and good knowledge of MS Office application particular Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of SAP or Oracle accounting system is an added advantage
