JR39847 Senior Financial Accountant This is a varied and exciting position and ideally would suit a qualified accountant looking for experience of a fast-paced multinational environment. The role is encouraged to evolve rapidly through streamlining and automating of processes. As a Sr. Financial Accountant, you will focus on financial accounting and reporting for US GAAP close and local compliance matters. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyze and review data to determine appropriate balances and activity Month-end close activities, preparing journal entries Monthly close analytics, variance analysis, including ad hoc reports Perform and validate monthly account reconciliations Review legal agreements, where applicable Maintain expertise of internal policies and regulatory compliance requirements Ensure compliance to SOX and internal control Provide training to internal customers and peers Connect with business partners and finance analysts Provide support to Partners, including external auditors Presenting information to Finance Management Proactively highlight challenges on financial data to Partners and address risk and concern Ad hoc task as assign Key Skill/Proficiencies Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills SAP experience highly desirable Experience in Blackline, Ariba and Concur preferred Experience in data analysis & result oriented Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to act and operate independently with minimal direct supervision / direction Ability to work under deadlines in a constantly evolving environment Ability to think broadly and connect-the-dot on complex matters Ability to handle change sensitively and in a collaborative manner Education & Experience Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree in Accounting/Finance. 8+ years accounting or audit experience preferred Shared service experience preferred China Accounting knowledge is a plus About Micron Technology, Inc.
