L3 Application Support Engineer (Treasury / Capital Markets)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Level 3 Application Support Engineer

with a strong background in

Treasury, FX, or Capital Markets systems

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex production issues, implementing solutions, and driving continuous improvements across mission-critical banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

Level 3 support

for production applications, diagnosing and resolving complex system and performance issues. Participate in

new system implementations

, including requirements analysis, evaluation, installation, customization, and migration. Manage

bug fixes, enhancements

, and

change requests

for supported applications. Conduct

system QA

prior to UAT, and support users during

UAT preparation and execution

. Monitor

application performance

, perform

root cause analysis

, and implement

preventive measures

to enhance system stability. Assess and validate the impact of

software releases, patches, and upgrades

before deployment. Maintain

technical and functional documentation

, prepare

user guides

, and deliver

training sessions

when required. Collaborate with

vendors and partners

for issue resolution, escalation, and incident tracking. Participate in

IT Disaster Recovery

and

Business Continuity Planning

activities. Act as a

subject matter expert (SME)

or

technical lead

for new IT initiatives and projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in

Information Technology

,

Computer Science

, or a related discipline.

7-9 years

of experience in

Application Support

, preferably within

Banking or Financial Services

. Strong working knowledge of

SQL

,

MySQL

, and

Oracle

, including query tuning and troubleshooting. Experience working with

Windows

and

Linux/Unix

environments. Exposure to

Treasury

,

FX

, or

Capital Markets systems

is

strongly preferred

. Understanding of

software development and project lifecycle implementation

processes. Excellent

analytical, problem-solving

, and

communication

skills. Proven ability to

collaborate effectively

with internal teams, business users, and external vendors.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of

banking applications

such as Murex, Calypso, or Kondor+ is advantageous. Experience in

scripting

,

automation

, or

monitoring tools

(e.g., Shell, PowerShell, Control-M, Splunk) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM11,000.00 - RM12,500.00 per month

Capital Markets System: 3 years (Preferred) Treasury, FX market: 3 years (Preferred) L3 Application Support Engineer: 3 years (Preferred) banking or financial services domain: 3 years (Preferred) SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and basic Unix/Linux configuration: 3 years (Preferred) Windows and Linux platforms.: 3 years (Preferred) full project lifecycle implementation.: 3 years (Preferred)
