Responsibilities & Skills

Join the winning team! Lattice is looking for a motivated and experienced factory Applications Engineer to support high-speed memory designs, vendors and customers with our current and future industry-leading devices. The right engineer will have significant experience in high-speed DDR Memory interfaces, protocols and signal integrity. As part of the IP Product Enablement team, we bridge the customer-factory relationship, clear technical hurdles and provide timely and reliable solutions. Innovative solutions utilize our products in board- and system-level environments, and require skills primarily in FPGA solution development engineering but the right candidate will possess a breadth of experience and skills including circuit design and PCB layout. While Lattice is successful in helping our customers slash their time-to-market and bottom-line with our market-driven solutions, we want to continue to invite experts to challenge the status quo. Our IP Product Enablement team is seeking an outstanding team member to help design and execute "best-in-class" solutions for our best-in-class low power, small form factor, high reliability and performance product line.

Specific job skill requirements:

• Experience in a wide variety of memory standards, including LPDDR4/DDR4 is required
• Experience with HBM is an advantage
• Experience in a wide variety of physical interface standards, including SSTL, HSTL, LVSTL, HSUL is highly desirable
• Experience in timing closure, PLL/DLLs, physical interface strategies and signal integrity is highly desirable
• Hands-on FPGA development experience, including verification, of Memory Controllers and PHY interface blocks is highly desirable

• BS/MS in EE with 8+ years of experience
• Hands-on FPGA and/or firmware bring-up/debugging experience using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers is required
• Hands-on PCB development experience, including microelectronic hardware design and schematic entry an advantage
• Board debugging experience including board modifications and interface validation is desirable
• Expertise in FPGA design flows, Verilog and/or VHDL, including verification
• Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal required
• Hands-on experience delivering revenue-generating hardware products is required
• Participation in all aspects of product development, from architecture and specification through documentation, market release and customer support
• Must be able to work independently and also in a team environment
