Area Manager, Competitiveness Agility Team - APAC

The Area Manager\xe2\x80\x99s primary responsibility is lead and manage a specialized team (CAT \xe2\x80\x93 Competitiveness Agility Team) that will be focused on ensuring that Expedia Group\xe2\x80\x99s hotels and accommodations in our high-demand APAC flywheel markets consistently offer great rates and room options for our travelers.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Lead and develop a team of Partner Success Associates responsible for competitiveness in APAC\xe2\x80\x99s top Flywheel designations

Build strategies to effectively distribute, manage, and optimize customer accounts

Develop an advanced knowledge of competitor pricing and availability tactics

Identify and implement ideas on crucial business competitive opportunities to tailor unique solutions for diverse traveler needs

Continuously improve team productivity and effectiveness by providing coaching and constructive feedback

Evaluate performance of team members regularly, identifying learning needs and subsequently creating individual development plans

Provide senior leadership updates on progress and initiatives that contribute to the value the team is delivering

Hire and onboard new team members

Prioritize team strategy with strong project management skills to optimize team effectiveness

Work side by side with other account management teams to secure an aligned and effective level of competitiveness across high demanded APAC markets

Work with the EMEA Competitiveness Agility Team, Sales Operations and other cross-functional teams to evolve system workflows to meet changes in demand

Who you are:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in the related field; or equivalent related professional experience

5-8 years of relevant experience

3+ years of people management experience

Effective coach in managing diverse teams

Effective analytical skills

Intense curiosity to identify business trends and tailor business offerings

Strong project management skills

Impactful communication skills

Proficiency in English (Japanese and Thai languages are a strong plus)
