Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

The Area Manager will be heavily involved in formulating strategies & its implementation in each set of area territories. Amongst the core responsibilities are leading distributor's sales team & managing a network of dealers with the objectives of winning market leadership position & acquiring quality subscribers.

What are you accountable for?
  • Strategy planning & execution of distributors sell in & dealers' development.
  • Dealer development & training, product knowledge, staff selling skills & IT systems.
  • Win & extend market leadership in the region thru effective management of distributors and channel partners.
  • Channel and distribution management - responsible to drive channel partners and distributors to maximize sales and total partnership thru building mutual and profitable trade relationship.
  • Cluster management by area/market/segment profiling, area/dealer's development, defining and executing end-to-end sales plans, including generation of sales ground activities and go-to-market strategies/activities for each segment in assigned market.
  • Expansion of brand and product awareness/ visibility by creating a strong retail platform at channel partners (dealers) level.
  • Dealers' management by providing latest product's promotions and activities information, training as well as expanding dealer's network.
What do you need to have for this role?
  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree: Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in FMCG, Telco & or any related field.
  • Preferably Executives / Senior Executives specializing in Area Sales, Territorial Management, FMCG distribution knowledge or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Personal traits: Positive, Passionate, Collaborative, a self-starter, ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment and a team player.
