We are currently seeking a ASEAN Commercial Director to join our HBT/ HBS team in our Kuala Lumpur office. Reporting to the General Manager, Project your focus will control the project\xe2\x80\x99s commercial and contractual position through the application of knowledge and experience in risk management, project cost control, contract and sub contractor management and the financial management of the project through the application of expert knowledge of labour, materials and subcontracting cost with an understanding of the implications of design decisions, scope changes and project delays Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of the flow of information to and from the Company to ensure compliance with the contract programme and contractual commitments. Comply with Global Major Projects (GMP) reporting procedures as set out in the GMP Management Operating System document

• Responsible for the submission of compliant monthly applications inclusive of all paperwork, measure sheets, back-up timesheets and ensures technical and commercial completeness prior to submission

• Work with the Project Director to develop a site handbook highlighting the project team\xe2\x80\x99s commercial and contractual requirements relating to rights and obligations under contract, key processes and requirements for the development and submission of claims for variations, extension of time and other claims.

• Responsible for the development and management of commercial registers that detail all submissions, their substantiation requirements, follow up requirements and timing and ensure that no claim for time or money is lost due to Honeywell\xe2\x80\x99s failure to meet the specific requirements of the contract.

• Progressively build up information to facilitate prompt preparation of the Honeywell final account, including subcontractor accounts, and ensure receipt of cash through to issue of final certificate

• Keep abreast of all major changes and developments in the areas of Building law, Security of Payment Acts, Construction practice and Industry Standard Forms of Contract, and advise District/project management accordingly

• Develop an effective relationship with the Sales and Service teams so as ensure, effective sales to operations handovers

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Relevant degree or diploma qualification desired, likely to include Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or Building Services.

• Thorough understanding of Project operations in a commercial hard dollar construction environment is essential

• Experience in quantity surveying/cost management/contract administration on construction projects is essential

• Risk management as it relates to the commercial and cKey Experience & Capabilities:

• Fluency in Microsoft Office and Excel is essential.
• Strong oral and written communication and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
