Position Description

Leads, plans, directs, and manages the Area Marketing of Asia WW Aquaculture team to achieve results and goals. Executes marketing strategies in line with Global and International direction & aligned to support on the delivering the overall area business strategy. This position is accountable for the success of the marketing strategy, and implementation in (the country).

Job Responsibilities:-

Affiliate strategy and planning

  • Input to affiliate strategy, profit and brand plans
  • Adaptation with GM and directions from the Global and International
Driving execution of local (affiliate) marketing campaigns consistent with global brand strategies:
  • Drive local implementation of global brand strategies within competitive context. Defines marketing communications objectives for all focus brands. Establishes the agenda for marketing plan implementation, and set and agree project time schedules, ensuring project completion for Asia WW Aquaculture.
  • Drive execution of local brands that are not part of global categories/ priorities
  • Using local customer insights to develop local execution plans
  • Provide guidance on pricing levels and mix
  • Lead customer segmentation/ channel into brand planning
  • Ensure KOL plan in place as part of the marketing process
  • Support and guide the launch and brand strategies for local brands with input from GM, Head of sales and others
  • Commissions and monitors local market analysis and research as appropriate
  • Manage and track marketing opex , brand and commercial plans in partnership with finance and sales
Marketing Partnership to the GM, Head of Sales, Technical Team and other functions
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration with Area/ affiliate management team to maximize sales and achieve growth across the portfolio.
  • Use broad understanding and overview across brands to maximize resource allocation and make trade off decisions in partnership with Head of Sales, GM, and finance
  • Lead launch strategy in alignment with global launch excellence processes and global marketing launch strategy in partnership with the Head of Sales and local category marketer
  • Champion the brand(s) and support local marketers to drive engagement and roll out marketing campaigns with sales team
  • Embed Good Promotional Practices (GPP) process and outcomes.
  • Collaboration of Channel Partner strategy and owns promotional multi-channel strategy execution and implementation
  • Owns product forecast and forecasting accuracy
  • Monitors outcome of marketing campaigns and reports to International Marketing and global brand leaders
Build marketing capabilities in excess of the competition
  • Participate in marketing processes and guidelines - launch, segmentation, brand planning etc
  • Coach and develop local category marketers to build improve marketing capability Work in partnership with the Head of Sales , GM & Area Director to ensure high quality marketing input into strategic and profit planning
Manage the regional marketing department for Asia WW Aquaculture
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating performance, and defining and assigning responsibilities.
  • Lead and develop the marketers, creating an engaging environment by building a strong marketing culture.
  • Ensure expectations are met for direct customer contact within the team (customer days) and spend a minimum of 8 days personally in customer contact per quarter
  • Ensure compliance (Code of Conduct, Company good promotional practices, health and safety etc) and completion of administrative tasks (expenses, reporting etc) as appropriate. Set objectives, monitoring policies and practices, making expenditure recommendations, allocating resources and operating within set targets to control costs and ensure successful departmental operations.
Job Requirements:-
  • Degree level either life science or business qualification. MBA or professional marketing qualification.
  • 7+ years marketing experience
  • Experience in managing marketing personnel as well as experience in building effective teams is essential with a demonstrated ability to coach and develop marketing talent
  • Digital marketing experience is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of marketing capabilities and competencies with a focus on and understanding of the customer
  • An understanding of marketing in a consumer/FMCG environment would be ideal but not essential
  • Experience managing a P&L statement or a business unit is a plus
