Asset Integrity Engineer

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Providing independent assurance that asset integrity (including process safety) of all Petrofac Malaysia's operating assets, is managed, and comply with all statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Providing independent assurance that major accident hazards and operational risks of operating assets are managed in accordance to Safety Case and Operating Integrity Management System.
  • Supporting in the development and roll out of cross-discipline, system level, integrity-critical procedures.
  • Management of SHEAMS Register for operating assets.
  • Implement Hazard & Effect Management Process for operating assets.
  • Conduct Asset Integrity-related assurance reviews and active monitoring on the effectiveness of implementation of integrity-critical processes and effectiveness of maintenance of safety critical elements.
  • Responsible for the compilation Asset Integrity-related KPIs (including PETRONAS Process Safety KPIs) that are required to be reported to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead or participate in risk assessment workshops, including Process Hazard Analyses.
  • Supporting Lead Asset Integrity Engineer in the management of Asset Integrity-related audits, including audit actions management.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Participate in the development and execution of asset integrity-related improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting Head of Departments in identifying areas for improvement in short and long-term HSE plans.
Knowledge & Qualifications:

Essential working experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the oil & gas industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the upstream sector.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing asset integrity (inclusive of process safety) of oil & gas facilities.
  • Required qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor degree from a recognised university in the discipline of Engineering or similar.
  • Offshore Medical and Survival certificates.
  • Certified HAZOP Team Leader (preferred).
  • Certified Functional Safety Engineer (preferred).
Essential skills in:
  • Refining, developing and rolling out procedures.
  • Conducted gap analysis, reviews and audits, in particular related to the subject of Operations & Maintenance and Asset Integrity Management.
  • Managing Major Accident Hazard (MAH) of operating facilities, including the concept of Safety Case and Safety Critical Element (SCE) Management.
  • Implementation of Asset Integrity Management requirements from International Codes and Standards and PETRONAS guidelines and standards relevant to the discipline of Asset Integrity, e.g. PETRONAS PSM, PETRONAS OSR MS, PETRONAS's GOFF etc.
  • Conducting qualitative and semi-quantitative risk assessment workshops.
  • Implementation of functional safety management.
Preferred experience:
  • Usage of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), in particular MAXIMO.
  • Facilitated Process Hazard Analysis workshops.
