ABOUT THE ROLE

  • We're looking for an Assistant Brand Manager to join the Malaysia Luxury team. This is a newly added role that will be responsible not only for the commercial success of the business unit under his/her care, but also the acceleration of Coty's ambitions through impactful marketing strategy and impeccable execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Marketing, ATL, PR
  • Develop short to long-term brand and launch plans in conjunction with Key Accounts and Retail Operations, aimed at driving sell-out, sales productivity, brand/product rankings and market share
  • Make strategic decisions around big bets and key priorities, with a view to do "fewer, but bigger and better", showcasing Malaysia as the market with best-in-class practices/executions/successes
  • Partner Media and PR agencies to develop cohesive Media and PR strategies to build brand desirability and exclusive tribes, to support brand development and major launches
  • Track and improve Marketing KPIs and ROIs
Trade Marketing, BTL
  • Discover, plan and execute short to long-term business opportunities for brand growth which includes new store or channel expansion.
  • Plan and execute BTL promotions across Free Standing Stores, Department Stores, Sephora, Perfumery and Ecommerce channels for omni-excellence
  • Develop exclusive offerings and promotions tailored to various customers/channels and end-consumers
  • Plan and execute animations and podiums in conjunction with Key Accounts, Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations
  • Co-own brand-, category- and BA-productivity with Retail Operations and Key Accounts
  • Support Key Accounts and Retail Operations with month-to-month sales planning activations aimed at stretching results, and/or mitigating risks
  • Together with the visual merchandising team, create and ensure consistent and impactful visual merchandising displays at brands' point of sales
A&CP Budgeting, P&L Management
  • Plan, own and manage A&CP budget to ensure profitability
  • Co-own brand P&Ls, including actively managing sell-out to sell-in, gross-to-net and product contribution
Market Planning & Forecasting
  • Monitor closely/adjust the forecast for both new marketing initiatives and baseline categories/franchises, which includes sellable and non-sellable (GWPs, Testers) skus according to business needs
  • Work with stakeholders to realize commercial ambitions; to re-phase forecasts when required, and track performances of key pillars
  • Manage inventory and make plans as required for discontinuations and Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) reduction
Reporting & Others
  • Monthly and Quarterly reporting as per brand and APAC requirements, managing ad-hoc reporting requests when required
  • Providing valuable insights to local, regional and global teams on brand and competitor performance, using them to enhance our own brand performance and results
  • Pricing and promotional analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS

A dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong attention to detail, the ideal candidate will bring along the following:
  • Minimally 5 years of 360 brand management experience in Luxury Beauty (Fragrance, Skincare & Makeup) within Malaysia domestic market.
  • Significant relevant experience in Free Standing Stores, Department Store and Sephora channels, with a strong understanding of the retail drumbeat and landscape in Malaysia.
  • Experience in multi-brand portfolio management is preferred
  • A proven track record in brand-building and expansion; a strategic thinker who does not gloss over details
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure
  • Highly detailed with strong organizational and analytical skills; attuned with performance marketing
  • A team player, ability to develop effective working relationships both internally & externally and excel in a multi-cultural environment
  • Proactive, agile, with a strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
