Position: Assistant Director- Human Resources Division

Description:

This person will head the Human Resources Division of an International MNC based in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will report directly to the President & CEO of the Company with matrix reporting to the Singapore Office. Your team of 12 members comprises of the Human Resources Management Team, the Learning & Development Team, and the General Affairs team in providing Human Resources and General Affairs support to the various internal customers within Malaysia.

  • Formulate and align Human Resources (HR) Strategies/Policies with regional HR strategies and local company strategies;
  • Develop an environment that encourages continuous learning to further develop and enhance the organization\'s Human Capital;
  • Advise management and business units on HR best practices;
  • Implement & improve on HR practices and procedures to meet & support business objectives and strategies;
  • Manage overall HR Operations pertaining to recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, rewards and recognition, career development, succession planning and other HR initiatives;
  • Lead and guide HR team members to be independent business partners to value add in Human Resources matters;
  • Responsible for the overall direction and control of General Affairs, Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, procurement matters and Management Systems I the Organization.
Requirements:
  • Degree in any discipline with minimum 10 years\' experience in HR and minimum 6 years\' in managerial position with experience leading a team of HR professionals;
  • Preferably with relevant working experience in Hi-Tech industry with multinational exposure;
  • Well-versed in Compensation & Benefits;
  • Conversant in current industrial/ employee relation matters and prevailing legislation;
  • Prior experience in handling M&A would be an added advantage;
  • Possess knowledge in organizational development;
  • Result-oriented with the ability to work independently with all level of employees;
  • Competent with high integrity, strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written;
Mobility to travel, may be required from time to time to regional offices and branch offices.
