Job Description

Responsibilities 1. To perform tissue culture techniques under aseptic condition. 2. To prepare stock solutions and culture media. 3. To involve in lab cleaning and washing the apparatus. 4. To maintain the plant cultures in growth room. 5. To maintain the record of laboratory operations. 6. To assist in research and development in the laboratory to establish new/improve the protocols for tissue culture process. 7. To accurately record the experiment data for documentation. 8. To provide technical guidance and implement laboratory protocols. 9. To assist in establishing operation schedule. 10. To aid current staff and take instructions from superior from time to time when required. Requirements 1. Degree in Biotechnology, Horticulture, Applied Plant Science, Biology, or related science. 2. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply with significant tissue culture lab experience and understanding micropropagation. 3. Prior industry experience working in a commercial tissue culture lab is an advantage. 4. High attention to detail and ability to recognize and observe small deviations. 5. Able to work long hour in a sitting position. 6. Able to work in a clean room environment with limited access to the outdoors. 7. Able to do detailed lab works. 8. Applicant must not allergic to alcohol and soap (as candidate need to frequently disinfect hands with alcohol, and wash many culture bottles). 9. Requires lifting 10. Have good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills (hands). 11. Have ability to learn, multi-task and follow instructions. 12. Applicant must be willing to work in Alor Setar, and able to travel to Jitra if necessary. 13. Able to meet the KPI as set by management. 14. Able to maintain safe, clean, and sterile equipment and facility.
