We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Assistant Global Markets Product Control Manager.

Principle Responsibilities

• Perform analytical review of Global Markets activities, and ensuring the accuracy of P&L and balance sheet;
• Implement day-to-day controls, perform investigations and liaise with Global Markets dealers to resolve anomalies and ensure activities adhere to Group and or regulatory policies and guidelines.
• Perform daily FX position reporting accurately to regulatory body by cut-off times.
• Manage the daily FX and IR retail position reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of risk transfer from retail bank into global markets.
• Assist in overseeing the daily and monthly balance sheet substantiation process, which includes but not limited to: reconciliation from Primary Trading system to GL, investigating and remediating intersystem reconciliation breaks, monitor aging and ensure clearing of receivables/payables and suspense account.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial and regulatory reporting, in compliance with the accounting and regulatory policies/standards.
• Management of the relevant Group/local trading and financial systems including routine maintenance, new system enhancement, implementation of new system/process and management of exceptions.
• Interact and collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g. GM Front Office, various Back Office functions) on new product/system/process roll-outs, and ensure all risks/controls are properly addressed.

Qualification

• Possess a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Possess a good understanding and appreciation of Treasury products. Understanding of accounting standards/practices is an advantage.
• Possess problem solving skills with aptitude for numerical and financial analysis.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of English (both written and verbal).
• Able to work independently.
• Able to deliver within tight deadlines.
• Ability to interact with all levels of people and stakeholders; a team player.
• Strong computer literacy and systems aptitude; adept in using Excel. Experience with Treasury systems, On-demand and HUB is an advantage.
