JOB DESCRIPTION:- Perform daily counter duties (issuing new library cards, receiving returns, collecting late charges, renewal and reserving the library collections). To assist in the processing of new books and/or other new arrival items. Organisation of books and other items. Helping students & staff to locate books, checking books in- and out- at the front desk. Attend to the students and staff request for the library materials and services such as notebook facilities, discussion rooms, multimedia room and references services. Update overdue books and fine record, and collecting late charges. Settle fine dispute issues, if any. Returns books and materials to shelves/stacks. Work on the library bulletin boards, display, and exhibits. Process the student and staff clearance form for the library. Handle any other given tasks. JOB REQUIREMENTS:- A recognised Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Bachelor Degree in a related discipline; Minimum of 3 years of working experience in similar position. Possess ability to help Staff with independent research and reference questions. Possess good interpersonal & communication skills. Good customer service skills. Good command of English Language. Candidate must be transport independent, and willing to commute between both Batu Kawan and George Town Campuses.
