JOB DESCRIPTION:- \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform daily counter duties (issuing new library cards, receiving returns, collecting late charges, renewal and reserving the library collections). \xe2\x80\xa2 To assist in the processing of new books and/or other new arrival items. \xe2\x80\xa2 Organisation of books and other items. \xe2\x80\xa2 Helping students & staff to locate books, checking books in- and out- at the front desk. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend to the students and staff request for the library materials and services such as notebook facilities, discussion rooms, multimedia room and references services. \xe2\x80\xa2 Update overdue books and fine record, and collecting late charges. Settle fine dispute issues, if any. \xe2\x80\xa2 Returns books and materials to shelves/stacks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work on the library bulletin boards, display, and exhibits. \xe2\x80\xa2 Process the student and staff clearance form for the library. \xe2\x80\xa2 Handle any other given tasks. JOB REQUIREMENTS:- \xe2\x80\xa2 A recognised Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Bachelor Degree in a related discipline; \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum of 3 years of working experience in similar position. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess ability to help Staff with independent research and reference questions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess good interpersonal & communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good customer service skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good command of English Language. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidate must be transport independent, and willing to commute between both Batu Kawan and George Town Campuses.
