Job description
This established water systems supplier based in Perai, Penang is looking for a competent Assistant Logistics Manager to come and join the team. This person must have strong operations acumen and a good command of Supply Chain and Logistics processes and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with forwarders, transporters, vendors and warehouses to ensure the accurate delivery of goods
- Sourcing and negotiating the transportation prices for movement of materials and shipments locally and internationally via various modes of transport like air or sea freight
- Responsible for verifying all shipping documentations and preparation of documents for duty exemptions
- Knowledge in M1 & M2 reporting for LMW requirements is a MUST!
- Bachelor\'s Degree in either Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation or relevant
- 10 years of relevant work experience within the Logistics or Transportation space
- Proficient with Microsoft Office have worked with ERP Systems
- Experience or knowledge in legal regulations for logistics within the SEA regions (Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, etc)
- Must be able to travel locally and internationally
