Job Description

Operational

To supervise closely all engineering personnel in the performance of their duties. To replace the Chief Engineer in all cases of his absence. To closely monitor the implementation of the Comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Programmed for all equipment in the Hotel. To co-ordinate and, if so requested, supervise special projects and employment of outside contractors. To monitor attendance at work, cleanliness of uniforms of all employees working in guest areas and job performance. To perform, at least twice weekly, a routine inspection of all engineering operational areas (plant room) and report any equipment malfunction to the Head of Maintenance. To control and verify all engineering logbook. To supervise personally all hazardous work and ensure that all safety regulations are being strictly observed.

Energy Management

To observe energy efficiency of all equipment. To monitor implementation of all energy conservation procedures and report any irregularities and non-compliance to Head of Maintenance.

Repair and Maintenance

To assist Head of Maintenance to handle building maintenance which include guest room, public area, kitchen and all back of house. To supervise major repair and maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical Services. To check timely completion of maintenance requests paying particular attention to quest related jobs.

Administration

To prepare work schedule in accordance with operation need. To assist in perform an annual evaluation of all Engineering personnel.
