We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Assistant Manager, Client Acceptance. Reporting to the Manager, Client Acceptance Team, this full-time and permanent position is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our team and its\' growth.

As the Assistant Manager, the position will be supporting the Client Acceptance Senior Manager to conduct 4-eye checks/second level reviews for Vistra Singapore clients in accordance with local group policies, procedures and regulations. The position is also responsible to ensure that process documentations are regularly updated according to the local policies and any other compliance and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform 4-eye checks or second level reviews on assessments completed by the Preparer for Periodic Review and Remediation activities, and support the second level reviews for onboarding and trigger review as and when required.
  • Help to manage/supervise team members handling Periodic Reviews and Remediation activities within the Client Acceptance Team in the absence of the Manager (i.e. as a Manager\'s back-up).
  • Escalate incremental risks for high risk and PEP clients to Vistra Business Committee (VBC) for approval.
  • Escalate potential reportable event/breach to Manager and Senior Manager of Client Acceptance Team.
  • Manage communication with Donor Country Stakeholders and Senior Management to ensure all operational, administrative and compliance function are duly executed in accordance to established policies and procedures,
  • Address queries and escalations and provide solutions that are effective and efficient.
  • Coach, guide and support improvements of new hires within the team.
  • Involve in automation, system improvements and operational efficiencies involving the Client Acceptance Team.
  • Help to arrange for the set up and grant access to new hires/new users in the absence of the Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to standards and procedure.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks and project work as assigned.
Key requirements:
  • Possess 5 years of Know Your Client (KYC), Customer Due Diligence or Name Screening experience in a financial institution or equivalent function.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, good organisation skills and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to excel under pressure for meeting any tight deadlines
