Our opportunity for you:

Job Title : Assistant Manager, Client Accounting

Location : Malaysia (KL Office)

Department: Client Accounting

Reporting to: Manager, Client Accounting (MY)

Direct Reports: NIL

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients including meeting the various deadlines and prompt response to client\'s queries.
  • Attending weekly/monthly meeting to update international client any issue/changes with Malaysia statutory regulation.
  • Prepare/review monthly/quarterly/yearly full set of accounts (including consolidated accounts) and drafting unaudited financial statements.
  • Tax planning and compute corporate tax computation, preparation and submission of Service Tax / Digital Service Tax / Withholding Tax.
  • Prepare cash flow forecast and schedule payment to suppliers.
  • Responsible for internal billing and collection for all departments.
  • Managing petty cash and internal payment request.
  • Liaise with internal compliance, external auditors and tax agents in preparation of audit and tax schedule.
  • Supervise an accounting team of 3 to 4 members.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the management.

  • High professional integrity and strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to liaise with international clients.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills to liaise with senior management, peers and subordinates.
  • Meticulous and multitasking.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Special Skills:
  • Knowledge in book keeping and MFRS/IFRS.
  • Knowledge of MYOB and Xero accounting software is a plus.
  • Knowledge in corporate tax and indirect tax - service tax, digital service tax, withholding tax.
Relevant Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Degree in Finance and/or Accounting or an equivalent qualifications
  • MIA / MICPA / ACCA
Computer Skills:
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Applications (preferably high proficiency in Excel)
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting software would be advantage
Languages:
  • Good and fluency written and oral communication skills in English.
