Assistant Manager - Contracts

Measurement / Costing * Measurement / Taking off quantities for fast track / complicated projects.

  • Initiate and prepare preliminary costing / budget for superior approval.
  • Update and maintain the latest cost analysis for on-going / completed projects, for further benchmarking.
Tender Documentation & Pre-Tender Estimate * Finalise Bills of Quantities together with Pre-Tender Estimate (PTE) prior calling tender.
  • Advise on appropriate Provisional Sums based on the unique requirement for each project.
  • Finalise key contract conditions, eg. contract duration, sectional / phase completion, liquidated damages, retention sum, insurances, various bond requirements, specific project requirements, etc.
  • Liaison with Project Team on all tendering requirements and procurement strategy.
Post Contract * Attend joint site measurement with contractor / consultant for specialist trades / larger projects.
  • Provide guidance and check on draft recommendation of progress payment prepared by junior, including make necessary adjustment, if any.
  • Justify and confirm new rates / prices, including further negotiation with contractor, if necessary.
  • Attend regular project meetings (for medium to large projects).
  • Regular update and quantify the potential variation works for all on-going projects.
  • Prepare and update post-tender budget for an on-going project, for cost monitoring purposes.
