BAT DIGITAL BUSINESS SOLUTIONS IS LOOKING FOR ASSISTANT MANAGER - CORPORATE FINANCE SENIORITY LEVEL Management FUNCTION Global Business Services Finance SALARY RANGE Starting at RM 8.000 + excellent benefits + market leading bonus LOCATION Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES The role is part of GBS Corporate Finance Team. The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively drive the delivery of financial reports internally and externally giving emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of financial records, adherence to company policies, corporate governance and SOX controls. The role submits quarterly reports and presentation materials to the Board\'s subcommittees including Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee as well as the main Board to fulfil Malaysia\'s Listing Requirements. What You Will Be Accountable For Ensure month end close activities, statutory and management financial reporting (actual financials) are performed on time and in compliance with SOX. Serve as a subject matter expert in local accounting standards, corporate policies and procedures, and compliance related matters. Ensure timely analysis, identification, communication and resolution of sales volumes and profitability reconciliation issues Monitor and maintain housekeeping checklists including cost centres, vendors, customers, approvers on timely routine Uphold strong governance to avoid frauds and potential monetary losses due to inappropriate accounting practices Facilitate year-end audit and quarterly Bursa reporting by dealing with external auditors, company secretary, tax, legal, investor relations teams Monitor and escalate breakdowns in Company\'s controls and evaluate risk exposures on a timely basis Recommend corrective measures and work with Business Control Team to mitigate risk exposures Support Corporate Finance Manager in preparing for Public Listed Company\'s quarterly submissions including KLSE reports and reporting to external stakeholders including shareholders Facilitate the preparation of financial and compliance materials to be submitted to the Leadership Team and the Board Crucial Experience, Skills And Knowledge Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred. Possess a good understanding of group accounting principles - ability to identify accounting issues Able to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions. Have a collaborative and flexible style. Able to influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Strong communication and inter-personal skills to support key stakeholders. Maintains excellent working relationships with all stakeholders and is a team player. Has the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, is resilient and open to challenges. Able and willing to provide guidance to subordinates, strong leadership traits and capability. Calm under pressure, knows when to escalate, demonstrates a high degree of motivation and discipline. Demonstrates an organised and structured approach. Experience of working in an external audit industry and experience in full set of accounts preparation is a distinct advantage.
