Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project implementation for all capex projects with above RM1,000,000.00 in value at Sarawak Region (that includes any new mill or mill upgrading, capacity expansion) and special projects for Upstream (Estates/Palm Oil Mills), R&D and others, etc. as and when required.
  • Responsible for executing all related scope for infra and mill projects for Upstream, R&D and other, etc. in Sarawak Region as and when required.
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing the project planning stage and detail design stage prior to project tendering.
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing the tender exercise, evaluating and reporting for management approval and project site implementation until project closing stage.
  • Responsible for liaising with Government Authorities, Agencies and any other relevant approving bodies for compliance of the projects.
  • Responsible for providing technical advisory/assistance input for budgetary computing process and support to the customer/owner to facilitate the operation need and to ascertain actual scope of work to reflect budgeted capex.
  • Responsible to provide support and assistance to Sr. Manager, EMS Upstream
Requirement
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or other relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 6-7 years of experience in engineering project management, infrastructure or construction works.
  • Experience in project planning, site supervision, tender evaluation, budget control and contract administration.
  • Good technical understanding of engineering design, construction practices and statutory requirements.
  • Able to liaise with consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects independently and work well in a team environment.
  • Experience in plantation, mill or industrial infrastructure projects is an added advantage.
