KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Lead in the planning and implementation of ESG strategies and initiatives to guide sustainability efforts across capital works projects, in line with Sarawak Energy sustainability agenda.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify key sustainability risks and opportunities to assess ESG risks and opportunities.
• Develop framework for ESG reporting for Project Delivery department and responsible for monthly reporting. Responsible for sustainability reports, detailing Project Delivery performance in environment and social areas such as greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and waste management, workers' welfare, decarbonisation plan and indigenous people.
• Responsible for data gathering and relevant data interpretation to inform strategy adjustments and reporting, ensuring data integrity and ownership for stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives by analyzing performance data, track progress against targets, and identify areas for improvement to drive Sarawak Energy's sustainability efforts and performance.
• Design and deliver ESG training programs for Project Delivery to promote sustainability literacy and enhance awareness on corporate sustainability efforts and relevant policy.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and team members.
• Champion the Project Delivery Excellence, Commercial Excellence and High Performance Culture in day-to-day tasks.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES:

• Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of ESG data. Minimize inconsistent data sources and standardized reporting frameworks.
• Raising ESG awareness in Project Delivery Department through continuous education and training.
• Promotion and adaptation of sustainable practices at Project Delivery project sites.
• Ability to collect data from different data sources and compilation of sustainability reports.
• Keeping abreast with rapidly changing ESG regulations and emerging sustainability technologies and standards.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Sustainability/ESG/Environmental/Social Management or equivalent with minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience with at least 5 years in managing ESG or Sustainability (i.e. public utility, Hydro Project, Thermal, Transmission Line and Substation, road and infrastructures, Oil & Gas) including enforcing regulatory requirements and promoting sustainability awareness programs.
• Experience in conducting environmental and social inspections and audits during project implementation will be an advantage.
