Job Description

Position Summary: Responsible to assist the Finance Manager in managing the Accounting and Reporting functions within the Finance department to deliver timely, complete and accurate financial information to Management, to enable them to make more effective business decisions for the Company and for the purposes of complying with all regulatory requirements and reporting requirements. In the process, ensuring financial controls discipline, operational efficiency, and effective operational/financial risk management. Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible to assist the Finance Manager in managing the Accounting and Reporting functions within the Finance department to deliver timely, complete and accurate financial information to Management, to enable them to make more effective business decisions for the Company and for the purposes of complying with all regulatory requirements and reporting requirements. In the process, ensuring financial controls discipline, operational efficiency, and effective operational/financial risk management. Plans, develops and implements policies, systems and procedures which value adds to the overall General Ledger\'s operation. Responsible for preparing journal entries relating to complex accrual estimation, prepayment allocation and balance sheet account analysis. Recording of depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets. Performs stock adjustment & disposal analysis before system transaction. Provides stock costing analysis & resolution based on highlighted issues from various department. Responsible for SST submission for returns and/or payments & other related matters. Assist with requests by internal and/or external auditors & Tax agent. Ensure compliance with SQS-D & ISO9001:2018 requirements. Assist in handling of banking matters as well. Requirements: Degree in Accountancy or Professional Qualification/ Certificate related to Accountancy, such as and not limited to ASCPA, ACCA, CIMA) with external audit experience and/or strong internal audit and commercial experience. Minimum with 3-4 years of working experience in related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/ or other professional accounting/ financial/ technical certifications. Strong understanding of Financial Reporting standards and controls. Strong analytical, planning skills and good problem-solving skills with strong financial judgements. Possess a high level of integrity, meticulous and able to work independently, and manage to lead, train and motivate staff. Knowledge in accounting systems software (SAP B1) and Proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent with numbers.
