: Summary Responsible for the overall media relations program, dispensing newsworthy information to the media on behalf of the bank. Develop strong relations contacts with the media community to ensure media coverage for Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) Group and its clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops good relationships with journalists and members of the Media community.
- Responds and researches any media inquiries.
- Provides writing support namely Speeches, Fact sheets, Note to Editor and Media Releases for corporate and business events.
- Produce and translates Media Releases.
- Lobbies media attendance for events.
- Organises media conferences, interviews and media appreciation events.
- Answers media calls.
- Scouts and researches story ideas and suitable pictures and places stories in selected periodic magazines.
- Tracks and monitors media coverage via compilation of daily news clippings.
- Prepares monthly media and PR Value report.
- Oversees the media activity materials for the purpose of corporate website.
- Assists in the Crisis Communications team.
- Provides Master of Ceremony service for events.
- Assist in the production of the Integrated Annual Report.
- Assist in corporate, AMAL and related events as well as media relation matters as and when necessary.
- Assist in publicising CR and AMAL activities on social media platforms.
- Ensures adherence and compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
- Undertakes any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the superior from time to time.
