Reporting to: General Manager, Legal Your Mission Draft, review, negotiate and advise on contracts / legal documentation for transactions and operational matters (including but not limited to R&D related agreements, licensing of intellectual property agreement, corporate transaction agreements) and other legal documentation including advising on legal issues arising from such review. Interpret, analyse, identify, apply and resolve issues arising under the law and regulatory requirements. Manage SDPB Group\'s intellectual property portfolio (particularly on registrations, renewals and abandonment of trademarks and patents) including the intellectual property database for SDPB Group. This includes liaising and coordinating with external lawyers on such intellectual property matters. Providing updates on laws / regulatory matters that affect SDPB Group, both local and international. Responsible for providing guidance and legal advice to internal stakeholders of SDPB Group, both local and international, as and when required. Build and maintain good business relationship with all the various internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the interest of SDPB Group. Review of standard operating procedures R&D business unit and advising on legal issues arising from such review. To perform and carry out any other responsibilities as and when required by the superior on legal matters involving SDPB Group, both local and international. Ideal Candidate With at least 6 to 10 years of practical experience, including a background in serving as in-house legal counsel in a listed company/multi-national corporation. Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent and Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay languages. Experience in plantation industry and sound litigation knowledge will be an added advantage.
