Job Description

Ensure a safe working place for Maintenance & Engineering (M & E) personnel and that safety standards are met in accordance with company policy, State and Federal regulations. Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of key plant utilities and systems, including but not limited to Thermal Oil Heater, Chiller Systems, Air Compressors, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Firefighting Equipment, Electrical, Facilities & Infrastructure. Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and other manuals and documents. Plan and coordinate the daily and weekly operation of the M & E Department. Work closely with the engineers/chargeman/technicians to ensure daily and weekly task are completed in a safe and efficient manner. Work closely with other departments (Production/Packing/Compounding/etc.) to ensure tasks are completed as planned. Promote cost-effective solutions amongst department personnel. Assist and provide guidance to engineers/chargeman/technician to resolve mechanical and electrical related issues. Assist Manager in developing short to mid-term M & E plans and executing major maintenance overhauls and outages. Understand the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each employee in order to train and provide guidance and inspiration through leadership and teamwork. Ensure proper tools availability in order to improve the maintenance efficiency. Review deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance and properly channel the issues to respective PIC. Developing and executing plan of major maintenance overhauls and outages. Manage and monitor the quality standard of work by the contractors. Maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items and surplus items. Ensure adherence to safety, health and environment matters which related to the job scope and workplace as required by the company. Performing other duties or projects as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent. More than 5 years working experience preferably in related manufacturing environment. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) Able to work independently, possess integrity and a right sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Able to work outside of normal working hours. Good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of people. Result-driven with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
