Department DetailsRole SummaryLead chemical safety management program within plant
Support in industrial hygiene, process safety and pest control
Lead PPE management enforcement program in consultation
Track to ensure all the hygiene monitoring such as LEV, Noise, CHRA and Chemical monitoring are done and completed on timely basis
Co-facilitate chemical hygiene and hazard communication programs and workshops, evaluating Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in various departments.
Extensive knowledge of chemical behavioural principles and physical properties.
Give technical guidance relative to Chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS) interpretation and ensure that copies of SDS for all chemicals are readily accessible to employees.
Secure, monitor, and manage the updated Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals using internal and external resources.
Inspect chemical storage areas to verify proper labelling, containers, and compatibility of chemicals stored on all plants.
Ensure that all chemicals transferred out of their original container are properly labelled and that all missing labels be replaced as soon as possible.
Make sure that documents are in order: chemical inventory, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical hygiene plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), annual self-audits, and all training records (spill clean-up, HazCom, etc.).
Co-facilitate chemical hygiene and hazard communication programs and workshops, evaluating Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in various departments.
Maintain hazardous materials stored in the work area by using Chemical Management System (CMS) and Hazard Management System (HMS) and update it regularly to identify locations where hazardous materials are used.
Approve and compliance of hazardous materials used in the work area as per Acts, Regulations, and Guidelines of the local authority OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, EQA 1974, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001.
Documentation
To manage and maintain documentation related to Integrated Management System (IMS) - ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015.
Generate various document procedure/work instruction/checklist/report as and when required related to FMA, OSHA, Bomba, and other legal document including NFPA & fire insurance requirements.
To monitor and ensure stock level is adequate for all approved permits. To order those permits once they have reached the minimum stock level.IMS audit
To participate in any audits (Internal and external) related to Integrated Management System (IMS) - ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 and other EHS audit
To track all internal/external audit finding reports related to Integrated Management System (IMS) - ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 and other EHS audit
To ensure all internal/external audit finding reports related to Integrated Management System (IMS) - ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 and other EHS audit are closed within agreed timelineEHS Object Target Program
To participate in EHS programs are been executed in accordance to OSH and Environment Acts, Regulations, ICOP and IMS standards requirements.
To achieve EHS obejctive, target and program accordance to OSH and Environment Acts, Regulations, ICOP and IMS standards requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS Policy and Systems.
Assist to update EHS KPI dashboard and Corporate KPI reporting timely and in-full, and monitor on the progress status of the EHS compliance periodically.
