Global Service & Parts (GSP) is responsible for the worldwide Service & Parts business of the Mercedes-Benz Group.

The newly established entity, Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific, will be part of the global Mercedes-Benz Group After-Sales supply chain network, covering the regional distribution hub, regional Asia Pacific functions and the center of competence supply chain steering Asia Pacific. The future Regional Logistics Centre is currently under construction and will start operations in 2023. The future Regional Logistics Centre (RLC) in Senai (Johor Bahru) will be a key facility in the global GSP Parts Logistics Network and will serve as a distribution site for spare parts to 24 countries in the Asia Pacific region. It will take care of the importation, the storage as well as the regional management of spare part and accessories distribution.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

• Ensure that the packing process is according to packing guideline and requirement.

• To monitor the packaging materials and consumable item stocks, consumption forecasting, ordering plan and replenishment ordering.

• Review feedbacks from different entities, 3PL, customers, suppliers and teams on the performance and improvement for the packaging material.

• To observe that 3PL is following Mercedes-Benz packaging guidelines as a minimum standard across all component types as well as other observed requirements for DG packaging like IATA and IMDG.

• Review packing material efficiency and quality to adopt new developments as demand required and for best cost quality ratio.

• Monitor and forecast packaging material consumption including carton boxes, wooden materials, DG packing and protective packaging material for uninterrupted operations.

• Provide an ordering schedule plan for replenishments according to ordering and delivery lead time.

• Escalation of any packaging material, ordering and delivery lead time issue to the supplier.

• Ensure all packaging material assignment cost calculation is up to date.

• Manage all purchase request/order, service contract and all other SWT related matters.

• Support sustainability through management of recycled packing materials.

• Contribute to other developments of the company on an ad hoc basis.

• Develop strategies streamline logistics processes to reduce cost; implement best practices and continuous improvement.

• Preparation of KPIs & Reports in relation with Planning and location management.

• Preparation of incident/issue reports.

• Preparation of any related Warehouse & Logistics reports and any other ad-hoc reports as and when required by the Management.

• Minimum Diploma in Warehouse Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related field and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or any other related warehouse experience.

• Experience in 3PL management and packaging material management are added advantages.

• For internal placement, candidate must have a LEAD rating of "Successful".

• Highly motivated and able to work in a team, good teamwork spirit.

• Self-directed with good written and verbal communication skills.

• Intermediate presentation (preparation and delivery) skills.

• Strong attention to details and technicalities.

• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
