We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager Processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the input agent for the operations and ensure all allocated corporate events are:
  • a) processed within the required timeframes
  • b) all instructions are processed within required deadlines
  • c) processing performed as per operational manuals
  • d) any deviations are to be reported immediately to Manager
  • e) full adherence to team\xe2\x80\x99s control functions and end of day checklists/requirements
  • Demonstrate high level of competency and understanding in processing all activities with high level of accuracy.
  • To ensure prompt escalation (as per escalation matrix) to the Manager for all matters which may present a potential financial loss or client service concern
  • Accountable for maintaining satisfactory audit/regulatory/risk ratings and be consistent with Group and Company policies and standards requirements at all time (inclusive of involvement during the reviews as scheduled by the business).
  • To demonstrate critical and analytical skills that include the ability to analyses information and generating ideas/solution for decision making based on available references.
  • Conduct periodic reviews on existing procedures with a focus on delivering efficiency and identification of best practices
  • Provide support to team members on operational activities to ensure all aspects of team activities are satisfactorily covered
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes and supports the Management\xe2\x80\x99s decision
  • Action oriented: Drives a supportive team environment driven by people centric values.
  • Change Management: Effectively drive and manage change to achieve business goals. (e.g.: process improvements/ changes in procedures)
  • Cover for departmental Manager in his/her absence
  • Participate in process related discussions and management meetings.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:
  • A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline. Higher qualification not a bar provided aspirations commensurate with the position.
  • Acquire a broad understanding of all the Corporate Action processes and market specifications for various markets assigned.
  • Possess relevant Securities background and knowledge - at least 12 months of Securities experience.
  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently, writes business letters and reports, and has good conversational / telephone skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, transfers knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data. Evidence of good analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends and make projections. Production management skills and ability to initiate process improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities in building relationships with people at all levels.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to work and think correctly under pressure.
  • Demonstrates supervisory ability.
  • For internal application, staff must have completed at least 18 months in their current role.
  • Experience in Securities processing environment. Knowledge in Corporate Actions, Trade Settlement, Cash Payments/Foreign Exchange in Global Custody or Direct Custody businesses is an added advantage.
Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
