Global Service & Parts (GSP) is responsible for the worldwide Service & Parts business of the Mercedes-Benz Group.

The newly established entity, Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific, will be part of the global Mercedes-Benz Group After-Sales supply chain network, covering the regional distribution hub, regional Asia Pacific functions and the center of competence supply chain steering Asia Pacific. The future Regional Logistics Centre is currently under construction and will start operations in 2023. The future Regional Logistics Centre (RLC) in Senai (Johor Bahru) will be a key facility in the global GSP Parts Logistics Network and will serve as a distribution site for spare parts to 24 countries in the Asia Pacific region. It will take care of the importation, the storage as well as the regional management of spare part and accessories distribution.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • Main key player within the designated task of Standardization Processes concentrating on ISO Management and Audits, Crisis Management related tasks and roles.
  • Ensure ISO Management and Audits mainly of QM/EM, ICSsme, Export Control requirements are being fulfilled and yearly audits are conducted and followed through.
  • Deputy to Facility Specialist on Building, Facilities, environmental, Work Safety and Health and Occupational Safety related matters or issues.
  • Fulfilment of Crisis Management role by setting up and maintaining of Crisis Management Organization in accordance with the Crisis Management Policy B79.
  • Handle and support departments on any related Quality management topics and Customs related topics as well as ad-hoc projects.
  • Supporting the responsible management (Head of location) in setting up the crisis management organization for the location/BU.
  • Developing a Crisis Management Plan and contribution to the Crisis Management Team.
  • Update crisis management plan once a year and maintaining the crisis management organization.
  • Ensuring training and alerting for the Crisis Management Team.
  • Informing Crisis Management team members about the roles and responsibilities.
  • Setting up a communication platform for the alerting of the Crisis Management Team and conducting regular alerting exercises.
  • Accomplish, control and update all processes concerning MBPLAP in the context of subjects regarding quality assurance, quality improvement and audits in accordance with GSP QM guidelines and ISO Standards. Process modelling for MBPLAP.
  • Coordinating the steering of documents and records (specifications and records) in the organizational unit.
  • Organization of internal audits in the organizational unit according to GSP audit plan.
  • Steering and monitoring the implementation of measures for continual improvement resulting from internal audits within the organizational unit.
  • Conduct annual review of the current status of the management system with the management of the organizational unit according to the GSP specifications.
  • Active participation in regular QM/EM communication of GSP (i.e BIC Community Session etc). Communicating and implementing results in the organizational unit.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics.
  • Preferably with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management & ISO 14001:2015 Environment Management System.
  • Excellent computer skills especially in MS Office - Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Min 5 years related working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics Experience.
  • Extensive knowledge in the automotive industry with experience in Quality Management /Environmental Management.
  • Extensive communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage team and handle conflict.
  • Strong organizational skills in order to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with good attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal Skills.
  • Good working performance individually and as a team.
  • Strong command of English is required to communicate with regional countries in Asia Pacific and MB Global GSP colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge, practice & experience in sustainability.
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of the Laws, regulations and guidelines of Free Zone Operations.
  • Added advantage but not necessarily compulsory -
  • SAP Knowledge EWM, CRM, ECC, TM, SCM.
  • Mercedes-Benz Logistics system - Star Order Plus.
