Job Summary:

An Assistant Manager of Heavy Equipment oversees equipment operation and maintenance, supervises maintenance staff, ensures compliance with safety standards, and manages inventory and repairs to maintenance equipment reliability and operation efficiency. Key duties include developing preventive maintenance programs, scheduling and coordinating equipment and driver movements, tracking equipment status and maintenance in software, and supporting the Manager with daily operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and inspection of heavy equipment, including preventive maintenance programs. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and meets safety and compliance standard. Manage equipment inventory and spare parts, ensuring availability for maintenance and repairs. Allocate and prioritize assignments based on machine conditions and production schedules. Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance technicians and equipment operators. Train staff on equipment procedures and best practices. Provide support to the Branch Manager and other departments to minimize operational disruptions.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, or related Mechanical Engineering fields. At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position. Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and their maintenance. Experience in construction rental yards or equipment service departments. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Fluent in Mandarin, English & Malay.
