SUMMARY OF DUTIES Collaborate with team members to create a content brief and content copies with a medical point of view, ensuring content adopts the reader\'s point of view, well-researched, industry-related, engaging and compelling for the target audience. Take on the role of a medical editor to review and approve medical-related content. Edit content to ensure scientific languages are revised for general readers\' understanding, and have proper clarity, storytelling and flow. Ensure facts, data, and scientific units have been used consistently. Reduce awkward phrasing, biased language, and jargon that is inappropriate for the audience. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Work with team members such as MarCom, Digital, PR, Affiliate Management etc to create a content brief with a medical point of view including conceptualizing the projects upfront. Work with relevant team members to develop engaging and compelling content such as articles, videos, infomercials, infographics, guidebooks, newsletters etc. Content must be well-researched, combining online sources, interviews, and studies. Work with translators (for International content) to get content translated to the right mediums and ensure translated content accuracy. Responsible for ensuring the quality of content delivered through editing efforts including correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity, consistency, and accuracy for all jobs assigned. Ensure writing style, verbiage, tonality etc adhered to brand guidelines. Edit specific projects as assigned (e.g. articles, PDFs, booklets, infographics, social media content, leaflet, websites, presentations, print, TV, digital, patient materials etc) at every stage of development from manuscript/layout through proofs/staging. Maintain familiarity with current healthcare industry trends, pharmaceutical practices and regulatory requirements that affect medical writing. Demonstrate high proficiency with MMC style and KKM guidelines and comprehension of scientific and medical material. Be familiar with the Company\'s services and facilities including product information, visual aids, articles, and related promotional materials to ensure facts are correct in content writing. Ensure timeliness of content creation, vetting and approvals according to agreed timelines. Keep the team up-to-date with the latest trends in medical related content. To perform other relevant duties which may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Marketing or designated representative. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Study background: Doctor preferred, Medical professional Qualified to create and review/approve medical content EXPERIENCE REQUIRED At least 3 years of working experience in editorial positions (online & offline). Have prior experience in a medical writing role and copywriting, either for the healthcare industry or for a medical communications agency. Excellent spoken and written English skills. Eye for detail and strong writing and composition skills. Experience in medical affairs in the pharma industry will also be considered. Capability of taking complex scientific content and presenting it in clear, concise messaging. Experience in a PR role, preferably from the healthcare industry is an added advantage. Familiarity with social media. Good knowledge of SEO, web traffic metrics and marketing is a plus. Ability to multitask and take on multiple assignments. Comfortable working with PowerPoint for presentations or Excel spreadsheets for data analysis when needed.
