Job Description


Merchandise Planning and Analysis

  • Conduct trend analysis to inform buying decisions.
  • Study and analyze past season sell-through data to determine optimal purchase quantities.
  • Calculate and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets.
  • Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and stock turnover rates.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales and stock reports to management.
Product Management
  • Create and maintain accurate product master data (pricing, descriptions, images) for both offline and online channels.
  • Manage product lifecycle, including pricing, promotions, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Coordinate product promotions (price adjustments, marketing materials).
  • Manage product launches and promotions across all sales channels.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock allocation.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconciliations.
  • Manage product returns, damages, and write-offs.
  • Implement markdown strategies for slow-moving inventory.
System Management
  • Utilize POS system (Xilnex) to create promotions and manage product information.
  • Manage product listings and updates on e-commerce platform (Shopify).
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
Vendor Management
  • Serve as the primary contact for the principal regarding merchandise and shipment-related matters.
  • Coordinate with vendors on product development, sourcing, and delivery.
  • Request visual merchandising guidelines, product USP materials, and other marketing support from the principal.
Administrative Tasks
  • Prepare various reports and analysis as required.
  • Coordinate with finance department on OTB, aging, and royalty fee updates.
  • Liaise with IT department on system-related issues.

Required Skills/Experiences
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup, margin/landing cost calculations)
  • Understanding on how to measure online sales performance (e.g., conversion rate, average order value)
  • Experience in merchandise planning, buying, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of fashion trends and consumer behavior
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in POS systems (Xilnex) and e-commerce platforms (Shopify), or the similar systems/platforms
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the fashion retail industry
