Job Summary:
As an
Assistant Restaurant Manager
, responsible for managing and leading the GRBG team while assisting the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing overall Food & Beverage operations in line with the 4P's principles -- People, Products, Processes, and Profit. Accountable for ensuring guest and staff satisfaction as well as outlet profitability. Lead by example by providing clear direction, motivating and supporting team members in daily operations, and maintaining a high standard of guest experience and service excellence within the outlet.
Due to visa limitations, only locals will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all Food & Beverage and daily restaurant operations within budget and quality standards while maximizing sales and revenue through upselling initiatives.
Deliver excellent guest experiences by ensuring strong employee engagement, proactive service, and adherence to GRBG standards.
Forecast, plan, and manage reservations, orders, and staff schedules while coordinating effectively with the Kitchen Team.
Lead, train, coach, appraise, and motivate the GRBG service team, fostering teamwork, accountability, and effective communication.
Monitor compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Management System (FSMS), Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), and security regulations.
Oversee guest interactions, handle complaints or issues promptly, and ensure all food and beverages meet GRBG quality standards.
Supervise cleanliness, maintenance, and proper functioning of all restaurant areas, furnishings, and equipment, reporting and following up on defects.
Plan and record monthly service training calendars, ensuring staff meet Sunway's required training hours and performance standards.
Collaborate with the GRBG Admin on attendance, leave, and discipline matters, ensuring staff grooming, punctuality, and professionalism.
Prepare monthly forecasts for covers, revenue, and labor costs, review P&L reports, and propose actions to improve sales and control expenses.
Requirement:
Qualifications
Minimum SPM or Diploma in Hotel Management
Experience
Minimum 2 years working experience as Restaurant, Banquet operations, In-Room Service/ Butler Service
Skills
Computer - literacy Microsoft Office, Outlook etc.
