Job Overview:

As an

Assistant Ocean Freight Manager

, you will oversee the end-to-end coordination of ocean freight operations, ensuring smooth shipment execution, compliance with statutory requirements, and exceptional service delivery. You will also lead and support your team in optimizing daily operations and strengthening customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage daily ocean shipment bookings and related shipping documentation. Ensure shipping and transportation activities comply with all legal and statutory requirements. Coordinate with shipping liners, agents, and internal teams to ensure operational efficiency. Track and follow up on all shipments, providing timely updates and relevant documentation to agents and customers. Manage billing processes -- ensuring accurate customer invoicing and vendor verification. Respond to rate inquiries and other customer or agent requests promptly and accurately. Handle customer service issues and ensure swift corrective actions are taken. Lead and develop a team to continuously enhance ocean freight operations. Any tasks assigned by superior to meet department and team objectives.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 4-5 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, including supervisory or managerial exposure. Chinese speaking is needed to deal with customers in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. Strong understanding of ocean export/import processes, documentation, and carrier coordination. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: Up to RM8,000.00 per month
