Job Description

The Assistant Special Needs Educator would support the students with diverse learning needs in classroom setting. This role involves working closely with our behavior therapist to implement individualised education plans (IEPs), promote inclusive practices, and foster a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Support

- Assist students with daily task and Academic Activities.

- Implement IEP goals and objectives under the guidance of the teacher.

- Provide one-on-one and small group support .

2. Classroom management

- Help maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.

- Support behavioural management strategies as directed by the educator .

3. Collaboration

- Work collaboratively with our educator and other staffs .

- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

4. Instructional Assistance

- Assist in delivering instructional materials and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.

- Utilise various teaching strategies and resources to engage students.

5. Monitoring Progress

- Observe and document student progress and behaviour

- Assist in assessment and evaluation processes as needed

Professional Development

- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in special needs
