Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's developmental, emotional, and learning needs.
Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and equine professionals to align educational goals with therapeutic outcomes.
Facilitate structured and adaptive learning activities both in the classroom and in equine-assisted environments.
Use hippotherapy sessions to reinforce cognitive, behavioral, and communication goals in a safe and supportive manner.
Track and report student progress using observation, assessments, and documentation tools.
Engage with parents and caregivers to foster consistency between therapy, learning, and home environments.
Promote inclusion, confidence, and independence in students through engaging, student-centered educational strategies.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Special Education, Education, Child and Family Psychology or a related field. Fresh Graduates are welcome!
Experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities is an advantage.
A willingness to participate in or learn about
hippotherapy
and equine-assisted education.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable working in both indoor classroom and outdoor/rural environments.
