Job Title:

Assistant Supervisor - Fruit & Vegetable Department

Job Summary:

The Assistant Supervisor supports the Fruit & Vegetable Supervisor in managing the daily operations of the produce section. This includes ensuring product freshness, proper display, maintaining stock levels, and providing excellent customer service. The role also involves assisting with staff supervision and ensuring the department meets quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Supervisor in day-to-day operations of the Fruit & Vegetable section. Check and maintain product freshness, quality, and proper display. Help with ordering, receiving, and stocking of produce items. Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department. Support and guide team members in their daily tasks. Assist in training new staff on product handling and customer service. Follow company policies, food safety, and hygiene standards. Provide friendly and helpful service to customers.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (certificate or diploma in retail/food handling preferred). 1-2 years of experience in a supermarket or produce department. Basic knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and freshness standards. Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills. Physically fit and able to handle moderate lifting. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
