About the role:
The Junior/Assistant Tubular Advisor is a junior-level position in support of a multiple customers operations in Malaysia. The Junior/Assistant Tubular Advisor is responsible for all aspects in forecasting requirements and is the focal point for the customer to direct specific questions regarding technical specifications and/or ordering of material. This position reports to the Technical Manager. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Job responsibilities:
  • Support and assist Tubular Advisor and Technical Manager in day to day operations and assignments including customers enquiries.
  • Plan and participate in periodic Forecast and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Meetings with Customers
  • Support analysis between demand forecast, latest inventory and mill capacity.
  • Coordinate with customer to review customer owned inventory and confirm the forecast demand. Discuss deviations from original forecast with drilling engineers.
  • Develop customer trust with regard to technical knowledge, product performance, and inventory utilization.
  • Identify potential surplus and recommend substitution to Operator\xe2\x80\x99s engineers
  • Manage Customer technical specification requirements (MPS, QCP etc).
  • Obtain individual well design and drilling schedule from customer. Provide cost estimation for string design change
  • Lead marketing activities with Customer either via engagement in SPE activities, joint technical papers, best practice case study compilation etc.
  • Jointly work prepare and organize technical seminars, lunch and learns, technical engagement as well as other customer engagement activities
  • Obtain market and competition outlook and intelligence.
  • Internal and external performance reporting as required.
  • Analyse forecast demand, on-hand, and on-order inventory.
  • Update forecast with specific well requirements.
  • Liaise with Site Coordinator and Inventory Controller to determine allocations of specific material requirements for each well.
  • Regularly update Operations Team with drilling schedule status to proactively plan onshore preparation.
  • Comply with national and local laws, legislations and adhere to business and quality policies.

Job requirements:
  • Must be able to develop and maintain effective business relationships with the customer and internally within organization.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
  • Must be able to prepare professional management reports for internal and external utilization, as required.
  • 1 - 2 years working experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with oil and gas qualifications are encouraged to apply.
