GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

Reporting to the VP of Global Sourcing, the Assoc Director of Responsible Sourcing is accountable to lead, manage and implement responsible sourcing initiatives with 3rd party suppliers for Ansell Group. This role works closely with CSR, GBU/SBU, HR, QA, plants, and other cross-functional departments to develop responsible sourcing strategies on labor rights improvement and sustainability agenda, that create business values and deliver CSR ambition for Ansell Group, which is making the world better for people and planet.

What would your role look like?

As part of the Global Sourcing team, you will be responsible for

  • Supplier development and compliance management
  • Using the subject matter expertise, develop global responsible sourcing strategies and it is in alignment with supply chain strategies
  • Ensure the strategy is embedded into the supplier lifecycle, including selection, onboarding, performance management & off-boarding
  • With collaboration and alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, lead the Supplier Management Framework (SMF) initiatives and ensure meeting the expectations of value delivered
  • Perform peer benchmarking against the external environment, customize and promote relevant ideas that can be deployed within Ansell
  • Develop training materials and conduct education sessions with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure awareness, buy-in, and ultimately embrace CSR/sustainability improvement journey
  • Conduct & review annual supplier risk assessment to refresh, determine and manage new risks based on continuous business needs and market environment dynamics
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure supplier qualification/verification is conducted as per standard, and develop metrics & reporting methods to continue monitoring supplier performance & progress.
What will you bring to Ansell?
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in the related field.
  • More than 10 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, ideally with regional experience.
  • Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting costs, impact, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions
  • Knowledge of sources for competitive analysis including supplier and industry data to build competitive intelligence, inform business planning, and optimize decision-making
  • Knowledge of contract terms, applications, and legal requirements, including the ability to read, edit and interpret contractual documentation, and manage the performance of contracts and agreements
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and applications in diverse categories to deliver value for the business
  • Subject Matter Expertise in the area of labor rights compliance & sustainability initiatives (supplier development & management)
  • Ability to travel, up to 30%.
