Description Primary Objective: To obtain products knowledge within the industry for continuous improvement in strategic sourcing to optimize cost savings To improve service level to the Group including turnaround time Key Responsibilities: Perform validation of prices, verification/confirmation on the specifications and prepare price comparisons and additional requirement/specification facts about each supplier to be review by Division Head/ Department Head/ Section Head Prepare recommendation reports on open quotation/ tender outcome to requestors within targeted timeline to ensure satisfaction of internal customers. Perform request for quotation (RFQ)/request for proposal (RFP)/Tender/ebidding process efficiently to minimize the sourcing turnaround time. Prepare general correspondences (i.e. letter of awards or rejections or invitation for tender and etc.) to ensure effective communication with external parties or respective SBGs/SFGs. Perform evaluation/negotiation with suppliers/vendors/service providers/contractors to achieve best deal inclusive of terms & conditions as well as to ensure price competitiveness among qualified vendors. Ensure compliance to procurement process as per Group Procurement guideline. Manage and track cost saving initiatives to ensure meeting targeted sourcing cost savings. Requirements Requirements: Diploma - Purchasing type qualification. At least 3 years relevant working experience in Procurement or equivalent to the specialized section Recognized as a procurement professional . A good technical appreciation of the range of procurement categories . Excellent analytical skills, process driven . Excellent interpersonal skills . Driven and high level of integrity .
