• Involve in credit related matters i.e. from the originating until completion.
• Monitoring due dates for credit applications, borrower ratings, share prices, covenants, collateral and other assigned tasks and escalate to the appropriate persons in order to mitigate credit risk to the bank.
• Prepare regular reports including but not limited to borrower ratings, conditions, report required and instructions to ensure its accuracy and timely submission to Management, Head Office and/or Local Regulators.
• Input and responsible for ensuring that the customer database is updated in a timely manner and for the integrity of the data.
• Support in managing the risk profile for the department by monitoring credit controls to identify credit risks and recommend changes where necessary to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate closely with the coverage team and able to advise the Relationship Manager (RM) on the key risks of the deal.
• Work in partnership with colleagues across the regions to deliver an integrated service for clientele.
• Support the Relationship Manager and take immediate action after consultation with the Head of Department/Team Lead to safeguard or recover credit granted to those customers who show sign of deterioration in business, management and merits upon facts and information.
• Work in partnership with Relationship Managers across the region and relevant Credit Divisions to support transactions booked onshore and/or offshore, if required and to support in and to ensure that all the due dates are completed in a timely manner.
• Support in term of daily/ad-hoc tasks as determined by the Department Head.

Requirements:

• Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Banking industry.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and deep understanding of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within the Bank and across regions.
• Meticulous, detail oriented with critical thinking skills.
• Excel in Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, Power Point). Exposure in analytics tools such as S&P Capital IQ, EMIS and other Market Intelligence will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
