Job Description


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance the company\'s reputation, engage key stakeholders, and drive development objectives. To play a critical role in shaping external and internal communication initiatives in line with approved plans and strategies. JOB DESCRIPTION A. Communications Strategies 1. Strategise Company\'s communications, engagement and branding initiatives are aligned with organisation\'s objectives. 2. Create a strategic communication plan that outlines Company\'s communication goals and serves as a roadmap for how the Company will effectively communicate to achieve targeted outcomes related to its goals, public relations, crisis management, or other objectives. 3. Enhance positive brand image of the Company amongst all stakeholders, regulators and Government. 4. Communicate key messages on Company through various media platforms such as print, electronic and digital. 5. Promote Company\'s achievements, activities and events of significant impact. 6. Increase Company visibility amongst the stakeholders, regulators and Government. B. Social Media and Digital Assets Management 1. Lead content management and manage Company\'s social media platforms including website and social media sites. 2. Strategize content and material for social media and digital assets to ensure quality engagement. 3. Oversee timely and accurate postings of Company\'s latest news and special announcements on all social media and digital assets. 4. Oversee risk assessment on social media and digital assets. C. Media Management 1. Oversee the planning and management of Company\'s media campaign to ensure optimal publicity on Company\'s events/initiatives through various media channels: print, electronic and digital. 2. Review and edit all written materials issued to media, such as press releases, speeches and fact sheets, to ensure consistency and accuracy. 3. Act as key contact point of the Company in managing requests for interviews or enquiries from the media/publishing houses. 4. Plan and manage press conferences and media briefings for the Company. D. Branding, Advertising & Promotions 1. Provide strategic guidance on the execution of external communications, events, advertising and promotions of the Company. 2. Lead the Department in terms of content strategy in various platforms in line with Company\'s brand positioning. 3. To provide advisory on the best platform and ROI for external communications activities relating to events, advertising and promotions of the Company. E. Stakeholders Management 1. Build, maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders. 2. Ensure on-going coordination, communication and support towards driving the Bumiputera Agenda. 3. Oversee planning and coordination of initiatives and activities outlined. 4. Represent the Company at relevant meetings and events. F. Reputation and Crisis Management 1. Assess Company-related news on a daily basis and compile them for dissemination to the Management, paying special attention to any issues that may trigger or develop into crisis or reputational risk. 2. Oversee management media queries and preparing media statement(s) as and when required. 3. Establish and maintain good rapport with members of the media at all times. G. Other Duties 1. Oversee management papers on issues related to Corporate Communications from time to time. 2. Direct other ad-hoc responsibilities from time to time. 3. Ensure all daily administrative tasks of the department are followed through satisfactorily. QUALIFICATIONS Education Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Advertising/Media, Mass Communications or equivalent from recognized universities /institutions. Experience Experience Minimum 20 years working experience preferably in corporate environment and minimum 15 years working experience in managerial capacity in corporate communications/public relations. Special Knowledge and Skills Excellent strategic thinking in bringing the company\'s corporate communication to a higher level. Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English communication for internal and external communications, including press releases, speeches, letters, branding and advertising materials. Possesses wealth of experience in multiple industries locally and abroad. Understanding diverse subject matters and economic landscape, particularly on Bumiputera inclusion. Able to rally teamwork and cooperation between different working groups. Proven leadership skills and experience in leading teams and projects. Provide positive and professional leadership to staff in the Corporate Communications, ensuring that the team is well managed to support the activities of the company.
