Who Are We Looking for: Reporting to the Regional Director, Business Development & Sales Excellence, the incumbent will lead a business development team. The primary focus is on acquiring and maintaining client accounts through adept and consultative sales initiatives, while also overseeing the management of MPF operations within the country. Through effective training and guidance, the incumbent will cultivate trustworthy client relationships and instill a profound understanding of key client accounts. Their objective is to recommend top-tier MedComms and MPF solutions that not only surpass client expectations but also align with financial objectives. The incumbent will need to demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a keen understanding of pharmaceutical/healthcare industry trends to successfully develop and drive the continued growth of the MIMS business. The Impact You Will Make: Manage Profit and Loss for assigned strategic business unit(s) to achieve revenue and profit growth targets, along with associated key performance indicators. Lead strategic account planning and business development activities to identify growth opportunities, maximizing the full potential of target client accounts. Cultivate consultative relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding to proactively champion and promote MIMS multi-channel solutions that exceed client expectations and drive account growth. Develop and deliver best-in-class new business pitches in collaboration with the team, ensuring proposals are innovative and relevant. Manage client and procurement negotiations to establish Master Services Agreements and preferred supplier status with key accounts while maintaining profitability. Facilitate knowledge sharing between MIMS offices to leverage business ideas and successes. Oversee business and internal operations/delivery teams (direct and indirect/matrix management) to develop and deliver strategic and impactful solutions for clients. Lead, motivate, and coach the team to exceed client expectations and meet business/financial targets. Set clear goals and expectations for direct reports and conduct regular performance, training, and career development reviews. Provide training as required for new and existing staff to meet MIMS standards and address training and development needs. Work closely with other team leaders to form the leadership team for the division. Manage editorial, digital, and design operations for MPF, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and execute an entrepreneurial omnichannel strategy to pivot MIMS HealthToday direct to consumer /patient platform, aiming to increase audience, engagement and exceed revenue targets. The Skills and Experience You Will Bring: At least 8 years of sales, marketing, business development or key account management experience ideally in a medical communications agency, pharmaceutical or equivalent environment Experience managing a matrix structure to achieve results. Commercially minded with the ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities. Strong strategic acumen in helping clients with their business. Proven leadership skills. Self-motivated and results orientated. Excellent written communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills. Financial and business acumen. Highly driven and organised with attention to detail. Strong scientific curiosity with a university degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in a scientific subject preferred.
