This is a newly created position working across two manufacturing sites.This role is about maintaining the status quo, that\'s not what they need, it\'s all about improvements to the current manufacturing process. The current process is manual, and you will take responsibility for modernizing it. Using new technology and equipment, automation, and a fresh look at things from outside you will have the autonomy to make the changes you think fit.This is a people leadership role too though, managing a team of 30 so you will also be tasked with helping them to improve their skills and knowledge because they will after all be the people doing the hands-on work.The Associate Director of Engineering will be responsible for:

• Align and define strategic manufacturing objectives by collaborating with senior and executive management across all functions.
• Lead and foster collaboration within the engineering department and across different departments to solve complex issues, drive improvements, and develop team culture.
• Oversee resource management, budgeting, and ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and other business systems while driving LEAN practices and continuous improvement.

The Associate Director of Engineering will be/have:

• Management/Leadership experience within process development environment
• Relevant experience in manufacturing engineering leading technical teams
• Degree qualified in Engineering
