As a purpose-driven organisation committed to providing the best service and support to our policyholders, we are seeking an insurance professional to join our team as an Associate, Health Claims. In this role, you are responsible for adjucating claims as per policy terms and conditions and ensure sound claims assessment and handling.

The Role:

  • Assess claims in accordance with the policy terms and conditions
  • Process claims within the set time frame
  • Handle agents and clients\' enquiries and complaints
  • Coordinate with branches to ensure smooth claims handling
  • To perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/ or other requirements. Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
The Person:
  • Possess a recognised degree in any discipline, preferably in Healthcare or Health Administration or Insurance-related practices
  • Has minimum 2-3 years working experience in life insurance company
  • Possess basic industry knowledge and experienced in claims practices
  • Relevant computer skills.
  • Possess sound product knowledge, policy servicing guidelines and procedures, General Life Underwriting and General Insurance Act knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, Good public relationship skills, Analytical skills, problem solving skills, ability to produce high quality work under pressure, negotiation skills and computer knowledge
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
